AmeriFluff's vision for Anthro(pop)ology is threefold: 1) to continue to grow the cutting-edge performance art scene that has been steadily progressing in Columbus during the last few years; 2) to perpetually provide a theatrical platform through which local performance artists must collaborate to showcase their unique work and thus be inspired by each other's diverseness while simultaneously cross breeding fans; and 3) to intelligently critique pop culture superficialities, incongruities, and injustices through innovative, thought-provoking movement/musical theater specifically designed to immediately register with technology-savvy, 21 century audiences of all ages and walks of life.
About Anatomical Scenario Movement Theatre
Anatomical Scenario Movement Theatre will be premiering Tantric Tantrums. This work explores the emotional space that exists somewhere between the disturbing and magical worlds of childhood memories, adolescent awkwardness, and adult sexuality. Choreographer Anna Sullivan, creator of Anna and The Annadroids, branches out to investigate and exaggerate the darker side of human emotions through unconventional movement, text, and an original musical score. Performers: Jessica McKelvey, Megan Lynch, Tina Tidwell, Cate Owens, Anna Sullivan

About Coco Loupe Dance
cocoloupedance will be premiering click here for slideshow or 6-12 character limit. Choreographer CoCo Loupe has structurally designed this piece to metaphorically resemble an internet slideshow. Composed of interconnected (still-framed, slideshow-like) solos, duets and trios danced by Eric Falck, Jeff Fouch, and Michael J. Morris, this work examines the kind of dehumanizing social fragmentation that results from overwhelming over exposure to current trends in rapidly developing technology and mass mediation. CoCo Loupe will sit "in a cafe" on stage and engage in blogging, texting, emailing, and tweeting activities directly related to the performance. Her real-time computer interactions will be projected on a screen in such a way as to question what it means to interact socially in today's touch screen (rather than touch each other) world.

About TUPACO Dance
TUPACO Dance will be premiering a whimsical work entitled Bring Out Your Big Balls. Choreographer Jessica Tupa presents a satirical but abstract interpretation of the health and fitness industries offerings, in response to the the propaganda based message of the media, "You should be thinner, younger, stealthier, healthier and all around a different and more fit person." Bring Out Your Big Balls offers a tongue and cheek montage of the "convenient" methods, machinery, potions and powders, (not to mention power bars) available to help the public in attaining the unattainable. To a blood pumping and heart thumping sound-track, Erin Beal, Stacy Mitchell, Rian Orders and Rachel Forstrom do their best to make the most of an impossible regimen that becomes more bizarre with every bicep curl and keeps the audience on their toes.
